ESCP Masterclass #3 - Sustainable Finance
During this third monthly Masterclass, Christophe Thibierge, Associate Professor of Finance at ESCP Paris, will give an overview of the difference between 'classical' corporate finance and sustainable finance.

Classical corporate finance was born from the works of economists between the 18th and 20th centuries. However, starting at the end of the 20th century, economic events such as financial crises, and environmental concerns such as natural disasters, the collapse of biodiversity, climate change, or population migrations have led to a review of the foundations of classical finance. A new form of finance (green finance, or sustainable finance) has begun to emerge. The two types of finance are not strictly opposed, because they share many of the same founding principles. However, sustainable finance proposes a new vision of the classical financial themes such as investment, financing or risk management.

This free class will be followed by thematic breakout rooms so that you can learn more about your ESCP Business School programme of interest.
